Question by Michelle: what features does a MacBook have that an ipad doesn’t?
does it have a word processing application like Pages or Word? Does it come with iworks? does it even have a regular safari internet application? We need a second computer, would an ipad be an acceptable substitute to another laptop?

Ah this is a good question with a lot of answers…
1) USB ports, you have to have a computer to use an iPad, you don’t with a MacBook
2) CD drive
3) flash video support
4) more powerful
5) easily upgradable to more RAM or new HDD
6) a camera
7) multitasking as of right now
