Question by Kevin: What can I do for cash for an iPad?
I’m 14 years old. I want a 32GB iPad. I have a lot of stuff, and would like to buy this without asking my parents. What can I do? It’s just getting to be spring outside, snow melting. The 32GB model is roughly 600 dollars, and I’d like to get a case for it so it doesn’t get scratched, because i mean, come on, for that money, I’d hope I’d take care of it. 😛

don’t get the ipad, definitely a waste of money, save it and buy something worth while or wait till the ipad has an os like snow leopard.

Actually, the recent news is stating that an iPad will cost a minimum of $1,300 if you’re wanting it to be useful. At 14, you can babysit, wash cars, detail cars, do yard work, clean out garages, clean gutters, etc. You can look into local summer camps and see what age they start hiring (some will hire 14 and older). You could also see if you can get a job at the newspaper as a delivery person (again some hire young). If you live in the midwest, look into corn detassling. The days are long and hot and it’s dirty work, but you make good money. If you don’t live in the midwest, you have no idea what I’m talking about. 🙂 You can save any birthday money, Christmas money, allowance, etc that you get. Let your parents know that there’s an item you would like to save up for and ask them to please let you know if there are any big chores that they would be willing to pay you for. It may only be $3.00 to clean out the garbage cans or $5.00 to pull all the weeds from the flower beds, but every bit will help. Good luck to you… that’s a lot of money, but if it’s something you really want start saving.
Since you are 14 you are now of legal age to get a work permit and apply for a job, but however in this economy not very many teens are being hired right now. As for grunt work wash cars, sell on ebay, baby sit (if you can deal with the little brat), mow lawns, create a lemonade stand (jk) buy and re-sell stuff (only problem is you have to have money to being with) you can also host a party and charge money and even be a personal shopper by buying coupons and asking your parents to give you 50% of what you save them meaning if you saved them twenty dollars you get 10. I know all this crap sucks Ive tried all this stuff to. Most of the time ebay is the best thing to sell on.
Make babysitting flyers using the computer and put them in the library, people’s mailboxes, and grocery stores.
Drum up more business and keep a notebook to schedule when you do get a customer.
Culver’s minimum hiring age is 14 with a workers permit.
I called many stores because I am 14 looking for a job. This was the response they gave which makes me happy after looking for so long.
Find a local one go online and apply and go in store to apply or call and ask if they are hiring.
What I did was Google a bunch of business near my home and found their numbers using Google maps or their sites and I called and directly asked if they are hiring and what age do they hire at.
