Question by hls: Who wants an Ipad? and do you think the upcoming competition will drive down prices?
I so badly want an ipad but the fast it does not support flash or have a cam is disheartening. I now hear Blackberry, hp, and google are coming out with their own version of the ipad but with camera and supporting flash. I wonder if the upcoming competition will make the ipad more affordable. for heavens sake for the price of the dang thing you might as well get a full laptop!

Yes, the new tablets that will be coming out this year will help drive down prices and increase the features on the iPad. Apple were first on the market with this type of device and in doing so were able to release an under-featured version. Once the competition catches up Apple will release their next version to compete.
I would expect to see new versions of the iPad out late this year, early next. If you really want one and want a camera, sd etc then I would wait.
The iPad is not a laptop and is not meant to be a laptop. It’s a new device that you can use for all kinds of cool purposes. I agree that not having flash was a mistake but as a sweet ereader, the ipad rocks. You can get tons of books and magazines and do so many other things with the ipad it’s insane.
