I am suspicious of some of the early reviews. There are reviews posted as early as April 20th. However, the product description states “Product Starts shipping May 14th!”

I got this 48 hours ago and it already looks beat-up just by opening and closing it. The straps don’t fit right – the headphone jack, power button, and one speaker hole are perfectly covered by straps. Seriously, did these guys have an iPad to test their design on? This looks and feels like knock-off case you would buy for a knock-off iPad.

This item looks like it is sold under a number of brands and the price as sold is well worth it. Soft leather, good fit, comfortable in your hand. My only concern is the longevity of the elastic straps at the corners that hold the iPad into the folio.ONly time will tell.

I bought this case even before I received my Ipad. It seems to be well-made and quite professional looking. I have no regrets about buying it and will buy it again should something hapen to my current case.
My complaints, all of which have been mentioned by others, are very minor and would not come into consideration when looking at another case:
1. The elastic straps at the top cover the power button, but there is no effect on functionality. I don’t even notice it.
2. On the top, the microphone is covered, but I never use it. In fact, I had forgotten it was there until I looked this morning while writing this review.
3. One of the three speaker openings at the bottom is covered so that may be an issue to some, but I tend to use headphones or connect it to a speaker system anyway so i haven’t noticed the difference. Volume even with two speakers oncovered is still much better than my iPhones.
4. The rotation lock is covered by one of the eslastic straps. That is my only issue as sometimes it takes maybe an extra 1-2 seconds to use a fingernail to move the lock switch. (That is really nothing.) The switch is located at the endge of the strap to I think if I did it on a regular basis — I rarely use it now — it would become second-nature to position my fingernail in the right spot and moving the switch would also no longer be an issue.
5. Probably the only thing that I don’t like is the little closing strap that secures the two sides when the case is closed. It tends to stay folded up but no blocking the screen It is very flexible and it’s quite easy to hold back of fold under/behind if necessary. It’s just a property of leather and is something that I deal with. Like everything else, it is so minimal an issue that I rarely even think of it.
Yes, it would be nice if the card slots were a bit wider, but I don’t want to carry a lot of cards there anyway, so it keeps the few that I might want to put there quite snug without worry about losing them. There are our slots as well as a pocket for other papers. Letter size would have to folded. It is also snug and I’ve used it for receipts or small notes.
The case front cover is designed so that it will lay perfectly flat if it is sitting on a desktop or other similar surface. There is no tendency to curl back towards the screen as some cases do.
It will also sit up quite nicely and securely in horizatonal view for watching movies, too. This comes in useful if you want to have a video such as a movie or Netflix or even stuff off YouTube/Vimeo playing beside your work area. I’ve used this on desks in hotel rooms often while doing work on my laptop.
The only thing I would worry about as far as long-term durability are the elastic straps at the top, but they undergo very little stress since I don’t remove my iPad from the case. The elastic itself looks durable and the straps are sewn to the case. I expect the straps and the case to last a lot longer than the iPad.

Product is what I expected, except the business card slots are way too small and tight. Other than that it works fine. The screen protector is of no value since it is totally impossible to apply without creating bubbles all over the surface. Tried a number of times to apply the screen and then threw it away.

Arrived with numerous scratches & scuffs on cover itself. So slick & slippery, iPad would likely slide right off table or desk with a slight nudge! Item returned same day. Don’t waste your time or money on this item!

I love my thin Elago case for my iPhone 3G so my first inclination was to get this iLuv thin case for protection. you hardly notice it. I also got a skin for the screen. still had to get a cover so I went with the Belkin padded sleeveBelkin F8N277tt Pleated Sleeve for iPad – Black that has a zipper on side for carrying earphones and power cord.
While my iPhone case allows me to not use anything else, I feel I still want more protection on the ipad. if you want clean and small and don’t like the Apple case, try this. i rated it 3 stars only because it offers no protection for the screen and because it is slippery on so hard to prop up. still if portability is what you want with protection for back, get this.

I have this cover plus the SGP white leather skin backing and it’s just a great combination overall. My iPad is protected !!! Not to thin not too thick just right. Although it seems as if my iPad is heavier even though this casing is pretty light.. Hmmm physics…. Buy this case!!!!

This one is fine, unlike the silicone version which is floppy. This one fits well and provides a less slippery surface when handling the IPad.
