Question by TimesSquareHarry: Can I build games on a IPAD using the touck screen controls?
Before I buy one I would like know if I can build games using the touch screen controls to play games that I create using justbasic format. I am super excited to think of all the posibillities that a touch screen offers. WOW!

You can’t use BASIC to program an iPad. The system is primarily coded in Objective-C, although Apple just opened up development to code translation tools so you should be able to use C# and ActionScript soon (assuming you can afford MonoTouch or Adobe Flash). Also, you need a Mac with Apple’s developer tools in order to compile programs for the iPad, and you need to register as an Apple iOS developer (cost: /yr) in order to actually put your apps on an iPad.

Once you get past all that, yes you can build games for the iPad. And yes, you have access to the touchscreen.
