I bought this case based soley on the pictures.
I am pleased with my purchase overall. however there are somethings you should know prior to buying that are not mentioned in the description.
first, the bad:
the stand that allows it be propped up looks nice, but really provides only 1 angle of view, no matter which notch you put the stand in the viewing angle is essentially the same. so don’t think that you will be able to put it at all sorts of different angles with the stand. You could probably see this if you looked at the pictures and really thought about it, but it is much more apparent when you have it in front of you like i do now.
next the ‘ehh’
the snap functions to hold the ipad in the case and keep it from sliding out when the case is CLOSED, when the case is open, you can either leave the snap undone or fold it backwards and snap it again to hold the cover the back. (though not necessary i like this feature). so when the case is open, the ipad can slide out, you need to remember this if you are walking around with it open, because the ipad might slide out.
also the pockets on the inside of the cover are very tight (i’m sure they will loosen), and i’m not even sure what they were intended for? business card? not really,
now the good:
the construction is very good, it does not look sloppy at all. the cover when closed has a magnet in the bottom right that holds it closed without the need for the snap at the top. I generally like it when companies incorporate magnets in this fashion, it is right along with the Magsafe connector on my mac.
the stand on the back employs the same functionality with a magnet, which again is a very nice feature and adds to the quality of the case.
now the future:
since i have ordered the 3g and do not have it yet, i cannot comment to the fit and usage of the ipad in this case. hopefully after i get it, i will remember to revisit this review and add to it.
overall, from my first impression and hands on without the ipad, I feel confident in my purchase and am pleased with the product. as of now, i would recommend it.

This case does everything I want it to do pretty well and the price can’t be beat and on that basis I recommend this product. There are however some sacrifices you will have to make: 1. the case overlaps the screen by about 2 mm which you can see in the pictures. I didn’t think this would be a problem until I tried to press the back button on Safari and fount I had to lift the flap to get at it. 2. When open the button does not hold the iPad from slipping out. 3. the case covers part of the speaker. The things I like about the case are: 1. It looks great. 2. It is good quality of materials and stitching. 3. The stand works great. 4. It is quite protective when closed.

There is NO leather on this at all. It is all vinyl and smells real bad. The snap is not really useful. There are TWO magnets that are inside that mess with the compass.
The light sensor is covered by the case.
Don’t buy this thing. It’s a real POS.

This iPad case holds the device for viewing in landscape mode from about 50 – 60 degrees relative to the surface it’s sitting on. Moving the stand from one position to the next changes the angle less than one degree, so realistically the average user will likely use the two “extremes” (reminiscent of reclining a coach-class airline seat). The case is not suited well for holding the iPad upright in its portrait orientation.
The iPad display is covered slightly by the case along all four edges, but, by covering the two shorter edges by fully a sixteenth of an inch, the case can get in the way of viewing and touching the iPad. It should be pointed out that the case covers the ambient light sensor, so if the user relies on the automatic brightness adjustment this case is out of the question. This case does not fit the iPad snugly and only holds the device on the top edge when the cover is closed over the display and the strap is snapped shut.
I personally find this case to be acceptable for my limited needs, but many of the above details are contrary to the details listed on Amazon. I recommend Apple’s $39 iPad Case to users who want a case that fits well.

And if this thing is leather, it is the most plastic feeling leather I have ever felt! Don’t be fooled by the photo, because it is not the product they will send to you! This shows what looks like pockets for business cards, which it doesn’t have…. I am totally disappointed with this and will never purchase from this company again! This was not at all created for the iPad, and if it was, they didn’t have access to a working model, because it covers the light sensor, making that function unusable! Dont waste your money, if you want a good case, try Hard Candy’s Street Skin, it is not only rugged and durable, but it also keeps the monitor protected! It may cost more but it is one of the most rugged skins that I have found!
