I got this case when they first offered it for $4. Yes, $4. It’s a great value at that price. The construction seems pretty solid, and it has some padding in it so you can confidently toss it down on the table (or wherever). The tab holds it closed very well, but i leave it tucked behind the ipad most of the time, because it flops around and gets in the way.
The biggest design flaw is that the corner anchor covers the power button. But it doesn’t apply enough pressure to accidentally press it when you jiggle it around (and you can still press the button through it), so it’s not a real problem.
I have a feeling they started this case at a low price to get it out in peoples’ hands early, and get some reviews of it, then they’re going to keep slowly jacking up the price as more and more people buy it. If this happens, I should point out that I would be happy with this case up to about $20-30. Beyond that, I would take some time to consider some of the others out there (though this might still be a winner among others at or beyond the $30 mark).

I’m highly disappointed in this purchase. Have had it less than two weeks, and it’s already buckling and creasing and refusing to stand up in landscape mode. Worse, it appears to be suspiciously-identical to the M-Edge executive cover, but with much poorer quality.
I own two M-Edge covers, one for a Kindle and another for a Kindle DX. They’ve both had over a year of hard use, and look just about as good today as when I bought them. The leather is creamy and glowing, the kindles are secured and protected, and I have no trouble propping them up so I can read my books.
When I compared this cover to my M-Edge Kindle covers, it seemed virtually identical in design. But not in quality. After less than two weeks the so-called “leather” is bulging and wrinkling, the edges are scuffed, and the inner supports have started to wrinkle and crack. I can see breakage of the elastic threads in the parts that secure the top of the iPod. The cover itself is no longer straight and flat, but is starting to curve out and away from the iPad–and now it will no longer even support the iPad in landscape mode, but tries to flip the iPad face-down on the table whenever I prop it up.
Whatever is inside this thing is neither leather nor durable nor properly engineered. Sure, it’s got a bargain price, but I guess you really do get what you pay for.
I only bought this because the M-Edge units weren’t available yet–but once the budget permits, I’ll be ordering a REAL M-Edge case for my new iPad.

This case is well-constructed, with tight, even stitching, a good fit, and a protective, suede-like interior. The color is slightly lighter than what I expected from the picture, but the case is still attractive. All in all, a pretty nice, functional product.
I only have one problem with this leather iPad case.
It’s not leather.
I’ve worked with premium leathers for years, and even studied to be a saddle maker, though my career path took me in a different direction. This is a “leather-like” case. Had it been labeled as such, I would have gladly paid this price anyway. However, thinking I was getting one thing, and getting another, leaves me feeling… jilted.

Super slow shipping, Poor customer service response (one sentence no greeting no apology) the item is three days old, the stitches are coming loose and the cover appears warped. It’s complete garbage! You’d be crazy to buy from crazy digital.

As others have said, this is a knock-off of the far better M-Edge jackets, but I liked the color of this one (and, of course, the price). I figured a case was a case was a case. How bad could it be? Bad enough to return it a day after receiving it, it turns out. The whole case is warped and does little to protect the iPad in that state. The gray lining on the interior actually sheds, leaving fine gray hairs all over the iPad screen every time the case is closed. And contrary to what CrazyOnDigital says, it doesn’t function as a table stand at all. When I tried, it just slid down until it was flat again. It wasn’t built to handle the weight of what it’s supposed to be holding. Finally, for the price, I expected cheap leather, but I’m not convinced this is even leather at all! Even so, I’d call it a bargain if I knew the case would last, but it’s made so shoddily that I wouldn’t expect it to survive more than a month with regular use before it falls apart. So, yes, you’ll pay twice as much for a better case, but that case will likely outlive the CrazyOnDigital folio by multiple times its life span.
