I ordered both this and the Apple brand iPad case to see which one I found more useful. I definitely like this case better. It looks and performs like the InCase convertible one going on the Apple site for 1/2 the price. I was somewhat disappointed with the flimsy feel to the Apple case and the pain it is to try and prop it at an angle.
Things I like
– Nice leather look all over (inside and out)
– Solid materials
– Sturdy convertible standing modes (can go from almost straight up to a slight angle for typing at the lowest when laid flat)
– Holds the iPad snugly in place
– Allows access to all controls
– Good solid feel and panels for protection
– Button closing clasp on the front (magnets make me nervous)
– Gives me a more solid/grippy feel when holding 1 handed
– Makes it look like a notebook or journal (less conspicuous)
Things I didn’t like
– Wish I could have got free super saver shipping (not really case related)
I am not sure what the elastic strap on the outside of the case is for, but I find myself tucking my hand in it while holding the iPad for a little more security.
I am very happy with this case and would recommend it to those looking for one for their iPad. Also I got it within 3 days of my order which is pretty fast considering the back order of a lot of the cases on the market currently.

If you are going to carry your iPad in a bag, like a net book bag, messenger bag, etc… And you are just looking for a folio case to cover your iPad and work as a stand… Then get this. The price is great, and it works very well. It has a good look and feel and is less than half the price of the incase equivalent.
However, it offers very little protection for your iPad. Many of the sides are exposed… Even protruding from the case if the folio is not carefully closed, and makes the edges of your iPad subject to dings. This is not an issue if you are using another bag… But if you are just using this and carrying your iPad around… It is not enough protection. If you want that, you need to spend more money.
I would also prefer if the trap was all black… The stripes stand out a little much for my taste… But you get what you pay for. If you want an inexpensive case that doubles as a stand.. This is it . If you want to really protect your iPad from your clutzy self… This is not it.

I did some extensive online research and this is the best case I could currently find. (Of course there will be many more choices soon-) Unlike the presently hard-to-find and more expensive Apple version, this folio-style case seems to be fairly good quality for it’s moderate price, has four adjustable positions, and the iPad is easily removed from it. It’s advertised as being leather, however it appears to be good quality “leather-look & feel” vinyl to me. The case doesn’t block the controls or port and the iPad could be charged in this case with the charging cord. (A note on this: I read in a review that the reason the Apple iPad isn’t chargable in the Apple case is because the iPad would become too warm while charging this way. I don’t know if this is true, but I intend to contact the Apple tech people and ask them.)
The case closes with a snap, rather than a magnet, which I prefer. (I’m personally not a velcro or magnet fastener fan.) Most importantly, unlike some other cases I considered online, it doesn’t block the invisible automatic light sensor (at the top of the iPad screen opposite the home button), which would affect the brightness of the display. By the way, no part of the actual display is blocked by the three pieces of the case which secure the iPad. They only cover a small portion of the screen’s “border” area.
I am concerned about the durability of the two small elastic bands that go diagonally across the bottom corners of the iPad to help secure it and the large red striped elastic band on the front of the case. (I saw a promotional photo of this larger elastic band enabling the iPad to be fastened on the back of an automobile headrest, but I am somewhat skeptical about this application.) Elastic has a tendency to lose it’s stretch eventually, but time will tell how well the small securing bands hold up and at least in the meantime I have a economically priced and decent quality case to use until there are more choices. By the way, it arrived in just a few days and well packed from Ctcstore.

I have been impressed over and over with this case! At first, I was a little concerned about ordering this case because of a couple of negative reviews. (There weren’t so many detailed positive reviews when I was ordering.) There aren’t really any instructions with it, so it took me a while to discover all of this case’s many possibilities. I do wonder if some people don’t realize all the ways it can be used.. At this point, I’m starting to feel like I’ve got something straight out of a James Bond movie! I haven’t yet figured out how to shoot a bad guys tires out with it, but I’m thinking it is only a matter of time, and I’ll be sure to update this review if I do! Here’s what I’ve learned, so far:
First, it isn’t real leather, which is actually a plus for me. For the price, I think it is very well made. It is made of a soft easily cleanable material that my hand grips easily. The case is lightly padded with thin, lightweight foam cushioning on the exterior. It looks a lot like a day planner from the outside, which helps make the ipad a little less conspicuous. I like this for security reasons.
Overall, the case is a great compromise between providing protection and maintaining a slim, lightweight case design. This case has more padding than the Apple case, but it is the thinnest one I’ve seen other than that. I disagree that the case is uncomfortable for reading because of its bulk and weight, which I had read in one review. With the ipad in it, it is thinner than most traditional books I would read, paperback or hardback. I found with my Kindle that a case added needed bulk and softness, in order to provide enough for your hands to grip comfortably for long periods of time, and this is true for the iPad, as well. Weight-wise, the iPad plus the case is still lighter than many of my hardcover books, and much easier to hold, since you don’t have to keep the pages open.
The case holds the iPad very securely. The only potential weakness that I’ve seen so far is that the case doesn’t completely cover all the edges. I was a little worried about this, but now that I have used it a bit, I feel very comfortable with it. The sides of the case are slightly larger than the iPad, which tends to protect against things scraping across the edges. The elastic corner straps remind me of the ones on my m-edge Kindle case that have held up well for over a year. I like that almost all of the face of the iPad is allowed to show through, preserving more of the original sleek style and feel. When your hands are in typing position, you can’t even see the corner straps at all, and the rest of the time the black color makes them tend to blend in. I do not agree with a previous reviewer who stated that they obstruct the screen. They are well placed to securely hold the iPad in place, and they cover only the tiniest edge of the corner that I have yet to find interfering with viewing or performing any function. The elastic straps do allow for easily removing and replacing the iPad, if needed.
Now for the good stuff! I’ve found that this case can be used in EIGHT different positions. First, for book reading, the front cover folds back completely. You can wrap the strap back and fasten the snap from this position snap to secure the cover and keep the strap out of the way.
Next, you can open the case and fold the iPad out to take advantage of the horizontal viewing stand positions. There are four sets of bumps that allow you to adjust the viewing angle to your preference, or, for typing, you can lay the iPad all the way down on the bumps. The folded cover underneath the iPad creates a slightly raised angle that is great for typing on the iPAd keyboard. Also, the pictures in the listing do not show this, but I discovered that you can pull the big elastic band around the corner when using these positions to hold the stand snuggly in the selected position. With the band in place, the stand is very sturdy, even on un-level surfaces.
A seventh way of using the cover is in the car. You can pull the elastic band over the headrest of the seat, as pictured in the ad listing. Finally, an eighth way of of using the cover is as a vertical stand. You can stand it up vertically by folding the cover all the way around and fastening the snap as if for reading. Then stand the iPad up, and fold the cover out to create a triangle shaped brace behind it. This is great and surprisingly sturdy for level surfaces, but it is probably not a way that it was officially designed to perform, and since there is no tilt nor a front brace, it could be knocked over front-wards by pets, children, clumsy spouses or coworkers, etc. So, use accordingly!
Oh, and as a side note, I’ve found that the snap closure strap is a great place to clip my Pogo Sketch stylus. Whether fastened or open, the snap on the end keeps the stylus attached and handy.
No product will please everyone, but there are very few products with which I’m strongly enough impressed to spend over an hour crafting a review. Needless to say, this is one such product! After watching videos and reading reviews, I was very torn about which case to purchase, and since no case had every single feature I wanted, I expected to be slightly dissatisfied with any of them I got. This one has exceeded expectations so much that I am thrilled to be perfectly happy with what I got. Good luck finding the perfect case for you!

This ipad case at first I thought to my self at order that it would be cheap quality & boy was I wrong it is excellent quality. Very Sturdy & made very well & very solid. It does every position that you would want to put your IPAD in & I love it & I love it so much that I am going to buy one today for my mom’s IPAD that I bought her for mothers day. It has all of the spots cut out perfectly for every connection & it is to me pristine quality & especially for this low price. I bought the clear belking IPAD case with my IPAD 3G 64GB when I ordered it & I have no use for it, so I use that one to play my 3d games, so I will not mess up my very fancy leather case that I purchased from this seller. The packaging was quality at it’s finest as far as I am concerned & I am extremely satisfied that I am going to purchase another for my mom. Buy it people I am telling you, you will not be dissatisfied, but only satisfied with it’s great quality & versatile ways to position your IPAD. Go & buy it before I buy them all (ha ha) just joking.
