Question by Sandy: How long will it take for my iPad to arrive?
I’m in Australia and the iPad can’t be pre-ordered until May 10th. After i’ve pre ordered it, how long will it take to get to my house? And when it comes, do i have to be here when the post dude arrives with my iPad? Or can i just like go out and it will be on my doorstep?

Well if you pre-ordered it, and you live in Austrailia…It will probably be there around the 15th…
Oh, and if your not there, the postman will leave it on your doorstep…
Once shipped, my iPad took 3 days to get from China to America. You have to sign for it (there is an option to pre sign but do you REALLY want to leave your $500+ device sitting on your doorstep?).
Once you order it Apple will send you an email when it ships and next to “track shipment” it says “Pre-sign for this shipment” in smaller print. if you click that you can print out a sheet and put it on your door authorizing FedEx to leave your package at a designated spot. Also i live in the United States and my Ipad shipped out of China, the went to Australia and then finally to the US. and that all took 5 days so it should be about a day shorter to get to you 🙂
