Question by SLink: I have an idea for an ipad application…?
I have a brilliant concept for an ipad application. There is not another one like it and would stand to save major corporations millions of dollars.. I have got a quote for development and it’s around K for the app that I explained…
My question is, if I pay a developer the money to develop the concept, does the developer retain any intellectual rights to my idea? I could seriously revolutionize an industry with this idea, but I don’t know how to go about retaining ownership of the design and concept. this wouldn’t just be for ipad, but for any mobile or computing platorm.. (android, webos, etc.)
help me get started, i would love some input..
I have 25 years in the field that I am in and I understand my industry.

You need to talk to a lawyer. Not yahoo answers.

Usually you can just contract them, in your case $15K for services rendered. Normally that’s it, but you must make that clear to them.
Yeah, best thing to do is get legal advice, just to be sure..
