Question by Saulo: ipad connect to internet via itunes?
I am in an area without wifi and 3G connectivity.
My PC is connected to Internet via LAN
My ipad is connected to my PC via iTunes.
Everything works fine, except that my ipad cannot browser the internet (safari says ” Cannot open page, safari is NOT connected to the internet”.
Of course iTunes works fine, and I can install application updates, etc.
Is there a way to let my iPad browse the internet while it is connected to my PC via iTunes (and my PC is connected via LAN)

Thanks for your answer: yes, I do have a wifi router in my home, but now I am in a business trip in a hotel, with ONLY LAN available. So in conclusion iTunes cannot act as a tunnel for my iPad so that I can access internet? Right?

no not really, unless you got a wireless router, then your ipad would pick up the signal and you would be able to use the internet and do basically anything. Such as surf the web, text(using TextPlus4), check the weather, go to maps, facebook, itunes,watch youtube videos, check your email, and buy apps off of the appstore. A piece of advice: you should buy a wireless router
