Question by Fernando S: iPad exchange question?
My ipad randomly reboots itself randomly from time to time. Around 10 times already. And sometimes freezes for minutes or even shuts down an application not saving my work or w.e i was doing in it. Can i get an exchange for it if i take it to the apple store where i originally got it with the original box even if i dont have the receipt? (it was a gift) im sure they have a scanner where they can check where it was bought and stuff..?
some can please help me?

Hi there, Firstly, Try plugging it into iTunes and try restoring it….This will reset it back to factory settings so make sure you back it up first (syncing with iTunes)
If this does not work you should take it back to the Apple store and explain about the receipt problem, Im sure they will come up with an ideal solution.
Hope this helps.

What do you think? Answer below!

i would restore it. it might have a small registry error.
I spent ten years in retail sales. And even though that was 40 years ago I doubt if they have the ability to check who bought what and when. And besides what makes you think they have a record of your purchase? DId you send in the warranty card? If yes, then you should be able to get it REPAIRED not exchanged. Apple is not Walmart. It is good you kept the box, that may save you. Especially if the box has some sort of price ticket on it identifying it as coming from the store you are taking it too. I purchase from an “Apple” store but they are independent and not part of Apple. I know for a fact they have a data base on their register that brings up my past purchases. So arm yourself with the name and address of the original purchaser. This may save you. But don’t expect a new one. A no charge repair would be all you can expect.
