Question by Ruudi: How to import camcorder video to ipad to edit in reeldirector?
I have reeldirector app for my ipad and my camcorder records AVCHD on SD card, i have ipad camera connection kit (SD slot & USB) and when on holiday i would like to edit or store footage on ipad, if not possible what do i need to convert AVCHD footage to the format for reeldirector on ipad if using my iMac (preferably free)

Try handbrake, free. But, I am not sure should the latest version of handbrake works with AVCHD videos.
Here is the one I am using. Works great on my macbook, though costs a little money.
