okay im interested in buying the ipad but i really don’t know what i am in for…do i need accessories? what is the monthly cost?

The cheapest iPad runs on wifi so there are no monthly charges. You’re looking at 9 plus tax, with a 3G version that will work anywhere more plus monthly fee.
Seriously though, despite what apple says its just a big ipod touch. I would get one of those instead and save the extra money.

I have iPad and I love it. It actually replaced my laptop. I now use iPad and desktop iMac.
There are two models
Wi fi only
Wi fi and 3G
Wi fi only 16 GB is the cheapest it’s 499 plus tax
No monthly charges
Wi fi 3G – 16 GB :$629
Monthly charge:$30/month for unlimited Internet usage.
But if you think you won’t be using Internet over 3G, you can deactivate it.then you won’t be paying monthly charges and you can still use wi fi plus AT&T hotspot.
iPad is great device for office work,gaming, Internet browsing, photos, videos,email
And apps.
You can watch unlimited movies on Netflix or some other websites
You can also watch TV shows for free on Internet.
With iPad , you need some accessories:
iPad Case:$39::makes typing very easy and also gives perfect angle to view video.
Camera kit:$29:: connect memory card and digital camera to import video and photos.
Earphone with line in remote:$80 ( you can get simple ones for just 15 dollar)
If you like physical keyboard, you can have it for $70 but it’s not necessary I love ipad’s touch keyboard it’s amazing.
Total price of cheapest iPad including tax and accessories will be approximately $615.
I find it a great device. Watching movies on it’s gorgeous screen without any pop ups is a treat.
