I just got this case. It is like a hard case with the Apple case’s cover and stand system. The case itself is very thin, maybe too thin. It will protect you case from scratches but do not drop it. Since the back only attaches at the corners the sides are not protected. This is not an issue for me since I will not drop and plan on sticking it in my computer bag when I travel. I also like that the case does not alter the shape of the case and gives me multiple options to prop up my Ipad. Just like the apple case but without fingerprints.

APPENDED REVIEW:
After using this for about a week, I’ve noticed that the side stitching is already starting to fray. For $70, that’s ridiculous and I’m sending this back to Amazon for a refund as defective.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Let’s address the price first. When I bought this, it was $70 and I think I justified it to myself by reading that it was made out of carbon fiber. I still think this thing is very overpriced…
Having said that, so far I’m enjoying the case. I just wish it had been cheaper. The iPad snaps into the case rather snug and secure and the stand aspect (with flap) to watch media or type seems well designed.
As for the outer over, I don’t know if it’s really made out of carbon fiber, but it has a nice and subtle ridged texture to it and reminds me of a book. It is somewhat thin, but I don’t think it’s going to be a problem in the long term.
One potentially worrying thing is that this product only has a 90 day warranty. For the money they’re charging, you’d think the company would support the workmanship of this case for at least a year. Time will tell if it holds up or not.

I reviewed all of the iPad cases that were for sale at the time of purchase and selected this one because it looked like the best quality case and met my needs. I fly a lot so I was looking for a case that could hold a boarding pass, passport and headphones. I choose this case because it said it had a pocket on the outside of the front cover, hence the name “Traveler”. It showed up (finally) and did not. I was so disappointed that I went back to the ad on here only to find it completely changed. This was NOT the product that I thought I was ordering. On top of that, this case is made out of plastic and while I will never put my iPad into it, I am sure it would last made a week before falling apart. Absolutely terrible, big fail to the people that make this piece of garbage. I requested a refund and was told not unless it was defective. I thought that not being what I ordered and being useless would be defective enough.

I loved this case for about 34 days, then it fell apart. The inner velvet lining material began to peel off. The velvet material is only held together by a sticky adhesive – not even stitched on!!
For the high price, i expected something a lot more durable.
I would not buy this product again and have sent it back for a full refund!

I got my Traveler Folio Case after a few weeks wait, and was initially impressed by the construction. However, after only a week of heavy use the case has started to come apart from the cover, short loose strands hanging from the edges.
Also, the inside cover material gathers dust and stuff pretty easily. The seam has come loose, which is apparent when folding the cover behind the iPad. It seems that the case hasn’t gone through too much testing, as the materials give up easily.
The case is not so good in typing, although the angle is just perfect: this is due to the fact that there is no locking mechanism, and there are no rubber pieces holding the case in place.
The only thing which the case offers is protection without adding to the bulk of the iPad. If this is what you’re looking for, then go for it.
