I want to get one. I have 5 saved and I am selling my laptop for 0-0.
I have no use for a laptop (I do all my school work on our family PC) I travel a fair bit and like to check emails,facebook etc and my laptop is too big and heavy (15.6″ screen, 7lbs) to take places/use in the car.
Anyways I made up my mind and I am going to get an iPad, it is perfect for me. I am only 15 and I don’t need my own laptop for school work as my mom has a laptop, and a PC desktop.
I like to read/play games/be organized/watch movies/ etc and the iPad does all that and more.
Anyways…On ebay there is about 1,500 results for iPad under “iPads” and 94,000 results for just “iPad” (some are accessories)
Why are there so many 2nd hands for sale?
Will the prices ever drop?
My dad said I should wait for gen 2 but I heard that it comes out April 2011 (don’t want to wait that long) and that the only diff. will be it will have a camera , I don’t need a camera.

Don’t get a second hand one… people say they are too small, and eventually it hurts your eyes..however, Target is going to have them on sale this weekend!
Because at first the iPads were hard to come by many people were buying them just to sell them. However, stores have them stocked now. Also, on ebay not everything is used. Many retail stores use ebay (and Amazon) to sell their products.
The iPads are good and will work exactly what you need it for. There are rumors that the 2nd generation will be out around December/Jan but of course nobody really knows. The 2nd generation is suppose to have a smaller size, camera, and the retina display.

It is literally the exact same thing as an iPod touch, just bigger.
The guy from the apple store told me that, there’s only like 3 other things on the iPad and I doubt you would even use them. I would just get a touch, it’s more portable.
