Question by nature lover =]: Why do my apps in Ipad quit unexpectedly? These are free apps. :)?
whenever i play a game for about 2 mins, the app quits unexpectedly and i’m back at the homepage. Is this because the application is free?

This is not down to free apps. It happens to me with some of my paid as well as free apps. This is basically a program crashing on your iPad.
When it happens on your desktop computer it is more noticeable because there are message boxes or blue screens. With the iPad, you just get kicked back to the home page.
You can always contact the company who makes the app. They might be able to fix the issue if it continually reoccurs. Obviously, this might take more time than it is worth.
